Our church supports an orphanage and school in Haiti called HATS, or Hands Across the Sea. The director of HATS, Karen Huxter, is a part of our congregation and shared about HATS in person with us on a Sunday morning just a month ago. She reports everyone is fine, but that the earthquake damaged the property. All of the workers, children and students are currently sleeping outside until they are sure the building is secure. There is also currently a team from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia lending physical support. They had gone down prior to quake and have been able to keep a running blog of their experience. It is a blessing to have the team there at the moment. Please pray for them also.
